Muestra, comparte y lee durante el verano con la maestra Cindy

“If you don’t use it, you’ll lose it.” Sadly this is true about reading. Typically, children who don’t read over the summer will regress and their hard-earned reading skills will decline. Hopefully, with my help, your child will even improve in reading this summer. Show, Share and Summer Readin' With Teacher Cindy Summer is a 45-minute, 1:1 reading program that meets three times a week with an extra bit of pizaaz with a 5 minute Show and Share/ Show and Tell. 

I believe that finding the "Just Right Book", exercising reading strategies and keeping a constant schedule is necessary for reading success. My plan is to develop a friendly, teacher relationship with your child. Hence, getting to know your child's interests, preferred superhero/ princess, favorite food/ movie/ animals/ color, previous travels etc. can give me a head start. I hope to establish a good foundation early on so we can dive into our virtual library. There are plenty of online books so if there is a book your child wants to read, please share it with me on ZOOM. If not, I will always be ready with an appropriately levelled book to share with your child. I will try my best to match his/her interests and knowledge base.
