Experiencia de clase

Nivel de inglés - A1
Grado de EE. UU. Kindergarten - 3
In this class, students will have the opportunity to practice public speaking as they share their show and tell item with their classmates. It's all about making new connections and feeling confident when you talk in front of others!

Students get the classroom practice of...
• Introductions
• Taking turns (your student may also bring a second prop in case other students don't make it to class, allowing for additional share time)
• descriptive language and storytelling
• Not only listening to others, but actively paying attention in case there is a recall quiz at the end of class (just for fun)

In this class, the student's cameras need to remain on, for the entire duration of the class. This contributss to the public speaking experience for everyone's turn. Ensuring we all see your students show and tell, and the other students are able to see who they are speaking to during their turn to share.

This month's classes and themes...

⇢ (Week 1): Fuzzy Friends:
For this class, you can bring a stuffed animal/toy of your favorite animal or animal in your life. You can even bring your real pet or a photo of your pet.

⇢ (Week 2): Hobby
For this class, we want to learn all about your hobby! This could be an instrument you play, Lego builds, sport, cheer, dancing, painting, knitting, sewing, creative writing, or any other pastime you enjoy. Bring a prop that represents your hobby and tell us all about it.

⇢ (Week 3): Travel:
For this class you could bring a souvenir, seashell, travel ticket, flag, postcard, or something else to use as a prop as you tell us about a trip, vacation, or even a place you really want to travel to in the future.

⇢ (Week 4): Favorite Book
For this class, we would love to hear all about your favorite book! Bring your book (or printed photo of the cover), show us some of your favorite illustrations, tell us what you love about this book, or give us a short book report.

⇢ (Week 5): My Summer So Far
What have you been doing this summer? Have you been going on trails? Maybe having picnics and playing yard games? Maybe you went camping, or on a trip. Bring some things to represent your summer so far and tell us all about the fun (or relaxing) things you have been doing.

Some of these themes may repeat through the months. It's a great opportunity to make up for a theme you missed or to bring another fun item and tell a new story for the category!

A fun thing about this class is that you can join at any point (prior class knowledge is not needed), and you can take it over and over again! Every class cycle will have new friends and different stories. Your child can continue joining and gaining all the skills that come from a simple and fun show and tell.
Metas de aprendizaje
》 Students will be able to give a clear and detailed short presentation.
》 Students learn responsibility through coming prepared for class by having their prop ready to go before class begins.

Necesidades de aprendizaje
Let me know ahead of class if your child has any unique learning needs and how I can support them.
Orientación para padres
Please double check what your child would like to bring as their show and tell prop. It is best if children do not bring anything dangeous to themselves, related to violence, hunting, or other subjects fellow students may be sensitive to such as scary Halloween masks.
Lista de útiles escolares
Students should bring their main a show and tell item. They may want to jot down a few things about it they want to remember to share.

Students may also bring a second prop, keep in mind this second prop will only be shared if there is spare time at the end of class from short shares or other enrolled students who did not attend.
