There are over 400 species of sharks in the world today. In this class, the learners will be learning about the "Hammerhead, Dwarf Lantern, Great White, Whale, Nurse, and Mako sharks." We will be exploring fun facts, characteristics, and examining real photos of each shark. I will also be using a map to show where each shark lives in the world. Each learner will have an opportunity to share their likes, dislikes, or experiences with sharks throughout the class. At the end of class, each learner can create their own shark with a few easy steps.

I have been teaching for the last 27 years in a variety of settings. I have worked with children 3 to 12 years of age. I have created curriculum for 3-6 year old's, tutored, been a nanny, an assistant director, assistant teacher for early learners in the school district, and taught English (ESL) online. I have a BA in Early Childhood Education and a BA in Psychology. I love to find creative ways for children to learn and have fun! I believe children learn best through a variety of means including: repetition, writing, movement, creativity, socialization, fun, and a positive attitude. If I do not know the answer to a child's question, I will research it and let them know. Knowledge is a powerful tool that can create a spark for future learning and life adventures.
