Clase de lengua y literatura inglesa de un semestre de duración

This entire course is focused on helping your learner master English. I meet them where they are at and tutor them through the grades you help me determine.  I will work with the parents to determine which curriculum works best for their child. We can choose from Learning Language Through Literature, The Good and the Beautiful, IEW, or a free-style where I determine what we learn based on the child's interests.

An example of the way a class would go:
1. We meet and discuss our days for a few minutes
2. I'll ask the child if they have any questions about the homework that was due. I'll have a couple of comprehension-check questions to make sure that the learner has understood the concepts in the previous lesson and then I'll ask for the homework to be turned it. I'll then tell the student how they did with the previous homework. If there are any concerns, I'll go over it with them.
3. We'll discuss any reading that was assigned. Depending on the student, I'll have them read for me so I can make sure they're progressing in fluency and reading level.
4. We'll launch into the lesson according to the curriculum. This will include writing and grammar points. Depending on the grade, we'll discuss punctuation, parts of speech, literary devices, and/or writing tone.
5. After the concepts are presented, I'll assign homework to be completed before the next class. Sometimes, this will include finishing a worksheet, sometimes it will include writing, and it will always include reading.
6. The last five minutes of class will be used to play a game.
