🚨**PLEASE NOTE --- this is a self-paced course, so there are NO scheduled live meetings. Learners will learn through pre-recorded videos. 

Does your upper-beginner level crocheter want to expand their crochet skills and explore the exciting world of granny squares? Join me for this fun and engaging 6-lesson self-paced course where learners ages 13-18 will learn to make 5 different granny square patterns. You will learn about crochet pattern abbreviations, how to change colours in a granny square, the treble crochet stitch, and the standing double crochet stitch. In the final lesson, you will learn blocking techniques, and how to join your squares together to make a bag! This course is intended for upper-beginner level learners. Learners should already know the chain, single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitches before enrolling in this course.

I have been crocheting for over 30 years! My mother taught me how to crochet when I was 8 years old, and I've never stopped. Crocheting is a wonderful way to release stress and anxiety, while being creative at the same time.

C O U R S E   C O N T E N T : 

For each lesson, learners will…
👉 Watch the tutorial video that gives detailed instructions on how to make your granny square.*
👉 Consult the written patterns for more help while making your granny squares.
👉 Follow the instructions in the video to make your own granny square (lessons 1-5), or assemble their bag. 🛍 (lesson 6)
👉 Post a photo of their completed granny square (lessons 1-5) or their completed bag. 🛍(lesson 6)

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

For all lessons, learners will require:
✂️ yarn (yarn weight #3 or #4 is recommended)
✂️ crochet hook (see yarn label for recommended size)
✂️ scissors
✂️ sewing needle with an eye large enough for your yarn 

For lesson 6, learners will also require:
📚 heavy books to act as weights
📄 a piece of thick cardboard 
💦 a spray bottle with water in it
📍 sewing pins 
✂️ A thin towel if you want to keep your cardboard nice
