What would happen if Santa quit?
In this one-time class, learners will write a creative story outlining what would occur if Santa quit his job. Students will fill out a graphic organizer explaining the steps that would take place. Then, students will use their graphic organizer to write the story.

*** BRAINSTORM IDEAS ***
Students will begin class by brainstorming ideas on what could happen if Santa quits his job. They will do a short brainstorming session together to help students begin creating ideas.
*** GRAPHIC ORGANIZER ***
Students will brainstorm their own ideas for their story. They will use a graphic organizer to record their ideas. The graphic organizer will help students to keep their ideas organized. Students will brainstorm the beginning, middle, and end of their story. They will also include a solution to the problem (Santa quitting) in their story.
*** WRITING ***
Students will use their graphic organizer to write their story. Students will write complete sentences. Their story will have a beginning, middle, and end. Once students are finished writing, they will draw a picture to go with their writing.
*** SHARING ***
Students will share their story with the group before class ends.
