This is a live class. The learners will learn with slides, questions, and activities along with an interactive lecture. The class will last for approximately 55 minutes which includes time for questions and answers. Learners will become more familiar with difficult foods, and how they should be eaten as well as manners that should be used at restaurants or when going to special events or banquets. Did you know that your child can be very polite and respectful but still lack proper manners? As our children get older, their behavior at restaurants along with their table manners is expected to improve. Our society has a set of rules to follow and people will expect our children to know and follow the rules as they are getting older. They can no longer do the things they once did as a toddler or they will be viewed as having bad table manners or even lacking home training. Knowing the right thing to do will save everyone from being embarrassed at the table. Also, having bad table manners will make you look bad to someone who has good table manners. In this class, we will discuss dining at home and at restaurants. The following topics will be covered: *Table Manners *Restaurant Etiquette *Navigating the place setting and silverware *Good manners vs bad manners in a restaurant *Eating difficult foods *Invitations *How to RSVP *Menu/Ordering foods *How to use a fork and knife to eat *More *Most classes end on time. However, some classes may last slightly longer depending on the class size or the number of questions asked.

Learners will also receive instruction on navigating a formal place setting as well as understand the importance of using good manners at home, at a restaurant, or at an important event.

My name is Michelle Shannon. I am an etiquette coach, mompreneur and author of several books about etiquette and manners. I have 3 children. I love to cook, read books, teach and shop. I teach etiquette classes for children and teens. I help make children aware of the connections between kindness and proper manners. I also help make children more comfortable in social situations by teaching them to be more aware of when and how to use proper manners.
I have worked with children for over 16 years teaching children proper manners and how to be more confident while building social skills. I work with children in a one-on-one or group setting. I create small and large events like tea parties and classes at department stores to teach girls proper manners for young ladies. I also have experience working in a classroom setting assisting with teaching children and creating lesson plans. I often visit classrooms, schools, churches and events to teach people about the importance of etiquette and proper manners. Also, I'm a homeschooling parent. My daughter is now in high school. I have been homeschooling my daughter for several years.
In my opinion, as a society we may not be doing the best job teaching children proper manners. An etiquette coach will make them aware of the rules that should be followed in today's society. I think it's important to teach our children about etiquette and proper manners so that they won't get embarrassed in social situations and to prepare them for a successful future.
I was invited to a studio in Beverly Hills where I auditioned to have my own reality show about etiquette. They decided not to go through with the show.Reseñas
