Did you know there are 21 verb tenses in Italian!? How do you differentiate between them and what's the big difference? And which ones are the most important or useful? We are going to start to unpack those questions.

In this course, we will learn some of the Indicativo section which contains 8 verb tenses. We are focusing on 5 of the 8 verb tenses which are used the most-- presente (present), passato prossimo (past), imperfetto (another one for the past), imperativo (asking requests), and futuro (futuro).

Week 1: Indicativo- Presente (present tense) and the patterns for regular verbs (a code to know that will translate most verbs in the present tense)

Week 2-3 : Indicativo-- Passato Prossimo (present perfect; one of the past tenses) and the patterns for regular verbs (a code to know that will translate most verbs in this tense)

Week 4: Indicativo-- Imperfetto (imperfect; one of the past tenses) and the patterns for regular verbs (a code to know that will translate most verbs in this tense)

Week 5: Indicativo-- Imperativo (imperative; to ask requests) and the patterns for regular verbs (a code to know that will translate most verbs in this tense)

Week 6:  Indicativo-- Futuro (future) and the patterns for regular verbs (a code to know that will translate most verbs in this tense)

Week 7: Review


Each week, as long as time permits, we will also do mini-conversation skills.
