This class is a follow-up to any of my Reading Spanish is Easy classes or for any student who has already learned how to read in Spanish.

Each week, students will take turns reading a short fictional or non-fiction story in Spanish only. The stories used are from Reading A-Z levels A, B, and C, which corresponds to Lexile BR70L-160L. Stories contain 8 pages total, with approximately 2-10 words per sentence, and 30-70 words per story. The stories chosen for this class are age appropriate for teenagers.

With a maximum of 4 students, each student will have the opportunity to read two pages out loud. Throughout the class, I will help guide students through the correct pronunciation, and in the end, I will read the entire story. While this class does not focus on vocabulary, learners will easily understand the stories through repetition and illustrations. If time permits, we will discuss what the story is about and what each word means. However, this is not a vocabulary class.
