This is the onboarding session to begin the assessment process to place your child at their level for Individualized Support in K-2 Literacy Skills. Course Description: This course is designed for students needing extra support in learning to read. This comprehensive program is designed to support early elementary students in mastering K-2 state literacy standards, covering essential areas such as phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, word recognition, comprehension, grammar, and conventions. The course utilizes an adaptive system that tailors learning to each student's needs, promoting independence and mastery of foundational reading skills. This program can function as a comprehensive, stand-alone learning to read program or as an extra support system for those not responding to the instruction format in their Public or Private school system. Key Features: Initial Assessment: Students will undergo a detailed diagnostic assessment to identify their strengths and areas needing improvement in literacy skills. This assessment will be used to create an individualized learning plan. Adaptive Learning Program: Students will gain ongoing access to an adaptive literacy program targeting their specific learning needs identified in the assessment. This program encourages independent learning and mastery of literacy standards. Weekly Live Sessions: Students will attend live 1-1 or small group classes (depending enrollment and desired option) focused on targeted reading practice based on their diagnostic assessments and the assessment's recommendations. Weekly "Homework" Packets: Students will receive printable hands-on activities tailored to reinforce learning. These activities allow for flexible completion throughout the week, offering additional support in areas requiring reinforcement and ongoing learning. Access to Reading Materials: Students will have access to reading materials and assignments through Epic, catering to their individual reading levels (Monday-Friday 7am-3pm teacher account). This resource provides engaging content to further enhance reading skills. Access to Extra Lessons: Students will have access to reading materials, activities and assignments through ABC mouse classroom for extra practice. Extra Tutoring Support: Additional tutoring sessions can be booked for extra support during the week.
