In this engaging and supportive class, we'll dive into reading passages that feature short and long vowel word families, blends, digraphs, diphthongs, r-controlled vowels, as well as pre-primer and primer sight words. Our activities are designed to strengthen phonics skills, enhance reading comprehension, build sight word fluency, expand vocabulary, and develop writing abilities.

This class utilizes decodable readers, making it ideal for Kindergarten to Grade 3 learners who are:
- Struggling with reading
- Familiar with some alphabet sounds
- New to or having difficulty blending letters
- Starting to recognize pre-primer and primer sight words


Class Structure:

Slow Pace:

- Week 1-2: Introduction to the phonics concept with activities focused on alphabet sequencing, beginning and ending sounds, vowel discrimination, segmenting, blending, and word families.

- Week 3-4: Learners read short decodable passages containing the same phonics concept. Each passage is read three times for fluency.
Fast Pace:

In each lesson, a phonics concept is introduced, followed by practice with letter fluency, word families, words, and phrases. The learner reads a short passage and answers six comprehension questions.



Class Details:

- Each class section runs for 48 weeks before closing.

- There is a general syllabus tailored to each grade:
               Kindergarten: Lessons 1 to 6
              Grade 1: Lessons 7 to 18
              Grade 2: Lessons 19 to 36
              Grade 3: Lessons 37 to 48

- One lesson may take up to 4 weeks to complete, and the pace is determined by the learners.

- Learners can join the class at any time.

- Parents, please choose the appropriate group section based on your learner's reading ability or grade.



Private and Group Lessons:

- This class can be conducted 1-on-1 or with a group of up to 3 learners.

- A 1-on-1 lesson is considered a private lesson and costs $16.75 USD per week.

Materials Needed:

- A notebook and basic writing tools

- Printed worksheets (provided before class)

- If you don’t have access to a printer, don’t worry! You can copy the activities into your 
notebook and follow along on the screen.
