Lectura: Habilidades de fonética y fluidez para jardín de infantes, nivel 3

In this Self-Paced course, we will build on what we learned in levels 1 & 2 by reviewing basic letter sounds and simple CVC words then introduce new word families, high frequency words and read simple sentences. Previous courses are not required in order to complete this course. Students are encouraged to join the class that best fits their skill level and educational needs. A Self-Paced course does not rely on live meetings but instead has videos, worksheets and other posts in the Outschool classroom. This is ideal for learning letter sounds because your child can practice over and over again. In addition, every child can learn at their own pace. 

Each week we will have a brief review of the letters/sounds we will use, we will practice blending simple CVC words and introduce word families and we will learn some new high frequency words. 

On Mondays and Wednesdays I will post a short video introducing the word families and sight words for that week. We will work together to build word ladders, identify words that contain the word families, have fun rhyming, and practice simple blending and segmenting strategies to build a good foundation for reading.

Every Friday I will post a video including a game or activity to help review what we learned throughout the week. This may include a scavenger hunt, picture sort, bingo and more. Students can look forward to sharing what they did each week and will be able to post pictures to the classroom to show off what they learned! 


⭐ Students should know all their letter names and sounds and be able to independently read many CVC words before joining this class. Please see my other listings for help with this. 

⭐ There are no live meetings for this class. Since there are no live meetings, you will be able to watch all the videos and complete all the activities on your own schedule. 

⭐ You can post questions to the classroom or you can send me a private message any time. I try to respond to questions within 48 hours. 

⭐ If you are not receiving emails about posts to the classroom after the first couple days in class, please check your emails SPAM folder. Often messages from OutSchool end up there and get lost.

⭐ Students will need a whiteboard and dry-erase marker, crayons, paper and printouts of the provided worksheets. Students will also need access to "Bob Books: Set 2”.
