Leer y escribir con literatura anime
El propósito de esta clase es aprender cómo las habilidades y estrategias de lectura pueden ayudarlo a interpretar textos. Usaremos programas y escritos de anime y manga para explorar estas habilidades a través de lectura guiada, tecnología y proyectos.

The class will be taken twice a week for five weeks reading Anime literature about how Anime began, why it is popular, and the types of Anime. Students will practice identifying and analyzing the main idea, theme, and finding textual evidence to support their writing. Writing will entail skills that the student needs help in and the reading with writing will be in tandem with each other.

Week 1Lesson 1What is Anime?My lesson will discuss how Anime started with a Guided Group Reading and answer questions through Padlet.Lesson 2What makes Anime different from other types of television shows.We will compare and contrast Anime from other tv shows using Nearpod.com.Week 2Lesson 3Manga versus Anime: Which animation is the best?Students will read about Manga comics and graphics and list what they find on their Nearpod document to discuss in class. compare and contrast both animations by Venn Diagrams or t charts through readings using Nearpod.com.Lesson 4Manga versus Anime: Which animation is the best?Students will list what they know from reading and watching anime to compile in a list to share with the class.Week 3Lesson 5What is the central idea and supporting details of Manga versus Anime?Students will learn how to do a close read of both passages to find the central and supporting ideas of both passages to fill in their organizer on Padlet.Lesson 6Scavenger huntStudents will learn how to find textual evidence and use it to support their answers in a digital Anime Scavenger Hunt.Week 4Lesson 7Choice BoardStudents will use a Choice Board to create a project about Anime.Lesson 8Choice BoardStudents will use a Choice Board to create a project about Anime.
