In this ongoing class, your learner will be taught a specific multi-sensory (kinesthetic) approach to reading, spelling, and writing.  

Although this is an on-going class, your learner can join at any time. As a pre-requisite, your learner should know the sounds for all of the letters of the alphabet. The long vowel sounds will be taught during this course.  Your learner will also be taught sound blends and combinations such as: bl, ink, ch, ar, oi, and many others. In addition to special sounds, your learner will be taught sight words. 

This class is designed for beginning readers, struggling readers/spellers, and anyone who needs practice in fluency. Again, your learner should already know the basic letter sounds for the alphabet. Special sounds will be taught in this course. 

The class session outline is:
5 minutes - review letter sounds
10 minutes - write sounds and words
10 minutes - read words and sentences
5 minutes - write sentences
15 minutes - learn a new sound and/or sight words
5 minutes - review new material and/or reinforce any other material
