In this one-time class, I will be reading the story Be Brave, Little Penguin! During the story, I will encourage students to interact with different parts of the story. After the story, I will open up a discussion for all students that may want to discuss any part of the story. After the story, I will show each child a fun way to draw a penguin. No drawing experience is necessary, and I will use easy to follow instructions for drawing. Children will be encouraged to design and add to their penguin in any way they like. This is will be a relaxed and fun class that will allow all children to participate in the discussion if they so choose. Items Needed: A blank sheet of paper A pencil and eraser Markers, Crayons, or Colored Pencils ***If there is a time that works better for you that is not listed, please feel free to use the [Request Another Time] Button!***

I am a big advocate for reading to children as much as possible. It's amazing how much children can learn simply by reading to them on a regular basis. Children who are read to often will become better readers, spellers, and learners!
I have 20+ years of experience working with children ages birth to 18. All this experience came from owning and operating a childcare center for my local public school teachers, youth groups, preschool groups, and of course from being a very involved homeschooling mom!
My teaching style is relaxed and fun. I would like to provide an atmosphere that is welcoming and enjoyable. I will be offering multiple classes that offer students different learning options for reading, drawing, movement, and more!
