Are you interested in learning how to raise chickens in your own backyard? Raising chickens can be a fun and nutritious hobby! Learn what it takes to collect fresh eggs from your own flock! There is a lot of math and science you can experience while raising chickens. In this class, we will focus on learning a new chicken related topic each class. This is the class to take if you want to feel completely prepared to incubate baby chicks, raise baby chicks in a brooder, and provide your chickens with a safe environment in the chicken coop! We will focus on the specific vocabulary related to the topic presented each week so students can better understand the information presented during each class. ***Please note that if you can not make the times available, feel free to join the class and view the recordings. They are always posted after each class, so you won't miss anything. The weekly topics are listed below: Class 1 - All About Incubation Introduction to Vocabulary Learn about Breeds Class 2 - All About Brooding Introduction to Vocabulary Basic Nutrition Information Class 3 - Raising Chickens Introduction to Vocabulary Basic Nutrition Information Coops and Runs Predators Class 4 - All About Eggs Introduction to Vocabulary Parts of an Egg Collecting and Washing Eggs
