**STUDENTS WILL NEED A NINTENDO SWITCH OR SWITCHLITE, A COPY OF MARIO KART 8 DELUXE, AS WELL AS AN ACTIVE NINTENDO ONLINE SUBSCRIPTION. 

Hello, and welcome to class! Do you love Mario Kart as much as I do? Are you the fastest driver you know? Do you love exploring new tracks and finding short cuts? Do you enjoy working as part of a team or independently? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you'll love this class!

Each week, students will join my private room through a code I will send them. We will do a series of races and a series of battles, depending on how many people we have and time constraints. Students can choose their favourite tracks to race on, and we will play both as teams and individually. The structure for each week will be fairly standard--students will join the class and get the code to join the room. Once everyone is logged in, we will do 4-6 races, and then 5-6 battles, depending on time. Tracks will be chosen by the students. Throughout the races and battles, I will invite students to share tips and tricks they've learned, as well as their favorite and least-favorite parts of the game. If applicable, students can also compare/contrast the Switch version of different tracks with the original version (from the SNES, N64, Wii, etc.).
