Do you like uplifting stories about cool people who have done some pretty amazing things? Are you hankering for some stories about LGBTQ+ people who have made a difference in the world? Look no further! Join me for a weekly/ongoing storytime & book club for learners ages 8-12. Here is your chance to wind down at the end of the day with a comforting and inspiring book about change-makers. We will be reading "Queer Heroes: Meet 52 LGBTQ Heroes from Past and Present!" written by Arabelle Sicardi and illustrated by Sarah Tanat-Jones. If you would like to read along, feel free to acquire your own copy, but this isn't necessary! We will begin each session with no-pressure introductions, then I will read aloud info about two or three heroes (while showing you the absolutely amazing illustrations on the screen!). Then we'll have a relaxed chat about questions or insights any of us have about these heroes. We'll wrap up by sharing some positive thoughts and appreciations.
