As an artist and mother of children who love to create, this class is designed for learners between the ages of 7-12 who are looking to learn how to design their own digital drawings and paintings using the iPad app, Procreate, in a private setting. These classes will offer 1:1 support to ask questions and have dedicated attention. This is very helpful for learners who excel in a 1:1 environment, need a slower pace of class as we will go at the student’s pace and also those who may hesitate to ask questions in front of peers and benefit from just having the teacher present. Learners will get an in depth understanding of the platform, allowing them to create well beyond the classroom. Learners will not be required to have any previous knowledge. In thieve private sessions we will go at the pace of the student and create beautiful artwork that they will be so proud of.  

During these classes learners will learn:


- How and why to create different canvas sizes
- Choosing a brush or different medium and all that are available
- How and why to add layers to their artwork
- Importing a file or photo; as well as how to add it privately (so that it does not show up in the final video of their process)
- Colour selection
- Saving their file as well as their process video
- Different file types and why they are important
- Shortcuts within the app
- Blending tools
- Advanced skills
- Animations 
and so much more

Reminder : each class will not cover every topic but we will cover these topics over many classes at the pace of the student

Each week below will cover different basic skills with a project attached to it that we will create in class. Some weeks children may have more creation to be done after class.

This class is all about creativity and freedom to create. As their teacher I will show them the basic skills (and eventually the advanced skills) needed to continue to create beyond their wildest dreams. 

Each student needs to come to class prepared with:
- an iPad, separate from the device they are taking class on
- a stylus pen (Amazon has many great options for good prices); you DO NOT need an Apple Pencil
- Procreate App ($9.99+ depending on currency of your country)
- a smile and their imagination
