In this course we will study Drums.  We will begin with (depending on experience), how to hold the drumsticks (which will be required by the student), musical dynamics, basic rudiments for practice. Later, feet control, ear training, learning how to play a song, etc. The lessons will combine material that I can provide the student as well as pieces of music that the student would like to learn. I am very flexible with my lesson plans and try to tailor the lesson to the students needs. An example of this is encouraging my students to suggest songs that they may want to learn to make it a more positive experience. Through these songs I explain the approach to rhythm and give the student a deeper understanding of the songs they are learning. I'm personally experienced in many other styles of music including , Jazz, Rock, Country, Blues, etc. I love to teach all styles.
