In this one-time private art lesson, I will work with the learner exploring their choice of a topic in drawing or painting. We will do some experimenting and lots of practice. Drawing and painting will be the focus of our explorations. I share ideas for practice at the end of our session, and links to learn more in our classroom. - Private Art Lesson, One Time: Exploring Drawing and Painting Techniques 1:1: *The student will learn new techniques for media of their choice, drawing or painting. *The student will learn ways to practice their new skills. *The student will learn how what they learned connects to the art world.
I am a certified art teacher in Virginia (USA), and have over 20 years of art-teaching experience, from ages 4 to 18. As a practicing artist, I have work in private and corporate collections here in the US. I have been teaching art on Outschool since 2020.

During my art instruction, I offer different ways to approach drawing problems, model being okay with mistakes, and encourage artists to work at their own pace.
This private class is appropriate for beginners or artists with some experience.
