English should be fun! That's the best way to learn tricky concepts in a way that will truly stick and turn into buildable skills. This class can be personalized and tailored to fit each student's needs. Please see the syllabus for a standard recommended class schedule. However, this can be changed and modified as needed - Lessons can be extended or skipped. If there are other topics your student needs to add to the lesson plan, I can accommodate that as well! Every 4th week students will have a stress-free end of chapter quiz and parents will receive a check-in report with suggested skills to work on at home with the quiz results, grade included! Each student will receive log-in information and a password for their own personal homework portal complete with math-themed video game reviews and virtual worksheets for practice in between classes. Reading comprehension + spelling words
5 new spelling words are assigned, these can come from misspelled words in the student's writing or pulled from a grade-appropriate spelling list.

Writing project day
