In class, I focus on keeping kids connected, engaged, learning and having fun.  Each week, we will cover new themes while building friendships, confidence, and problem solving skills.  Classes run all year round, so jump in any time, and we always welcome new friends!

A typical schedule for every 30-minute class:
- Sing hello and check on our friends' feelings; time for learners to share their thoughts and interact with each other
- Read a theme related story
- Update our calendar/ weather/ and counting sticks 
- Move and groove to a few seasonal/ theme related/ class favorite songs
- Learn something new 
- Daily game to enhance chosen skills 
- Daily Reflection

This class will have its moments of large movement, so students will benefit from being able to get up out of their chairs. Be mindful there is enough room for students to move around.  I always offer modifications for learners who aren't able to get up or who have limited space.

There will be no extra printables for this class unless requested. I may offer some extra activities that will help extend learning and a large amount of them will be for outdoor exploration. 

Please note that my classes may go about 5 minutes over the 30-minute class time limit.  I always prioritize hearing what the children have to say, which means timing is not always predictable.  If you need to leave right at the end of class, that's absolutely ok we will see you next time! 

This class will focus on all areas of development:
Literacy: Letter names, beginning letter sounds, rhyming, syllables, pre reading concepts
Math: Counting, 1-1 correspondence, number identification, shapes, patterns, more or less. 
Fine Motor and Writing: Fine motor skills development, letter formation, writing letters, shapes, numbers, drawing and labeling. 
Speech and Language: Vocabulary, listening, speaking.
Social Emotional Development: Feelings, calming strategies, taking turns, friendship, kindness.
STEAM: Creativity, exploration, cause and effect
And more!

Each class will use pictures, games, songs and movement to work on these learning concepts throughout each circle time class.
Children will have a chance to talk and share with other learners as well.
