Open Resources Curriculum Unit 1: Rigid Transformations and Congruence Unit 2: Dilations, Similarity, and Introducing Slope Unit 3: Linear Relationships Unit 4: Linear Equations and Linear Systems Unit 5: Functions and Volume Unit 6: Associations in Data Unit 7: Exponents and Scientific Notation Unit 8: Pythagorean Theorem and Irrational Numbers Unit 9: Putting It All Together Class Structure/Experience: We will begin each session with an opening activity that introduces the topic. Students will learn and practice NEW concepts. Each session will conclude with a closing summary of what was covered and what's coming next! Teaching Style: Student-Centered !!! LOTS of interactive activities, games and discussions !!! Research proves that a student-centered instructional model is key to learning! Interaction Level: Medium to High !!! Students will have an opportunity to engage with me and each other through games, video clips and discussions! It is my first priority to ensure the safety of all students so open chat and open microphone will be limited. All interactive activities are selected to maximize learning while providing a safe environment to do so! Prior Knowledge: 7th Grade Standards !!! I prefer students to have foundational 7th grade skills before enrolling in my course.

External resources will be used to enhance learning. These resources will be used during class time via screen share or during independent work time. Some external resources used will require student accounts which will be activated and assigned by the teacher at no additional cost to you. The teacher will assign generic (no personal identifiers) username/passwords for each student. The student will only have access to their generic accounts while enrolled in my course. All external resources have been vetted and approved to be appropriate for learning. Many of these external resources will only be utilized via screen share. However, if an approved tool will be used outside of the Zoom platform you will be notified prior too. External resources are: YouTube, Flipgrid, Edpuzzle, Kahoot, Khan Academy, Nearpod, Quizlet, Google Docs and Google Classroom. All external resources will be used to enhance the learning experience and will always follow safety protocols.
