We will discuss what habitat polar bears live in, what they can do, what they look like, and what they eat. We will discuss and label parts of a polar bear. We will read and color a book about polar bears (this will be on a file you will receive when you enroll. Parents will need to help their child by printing out the book, cutting it, and stapling it together). We will make a polar bear craft (Please see supply list). Some children may require supervision and assistance with the craft. We will watch a video of polar bears and listen to a story about a polar bear.

Students will learn facts about polar bear, learn new vocabulary words, and explore creativity through making a craft. Reading readiness and fine motor skills will be practiced during this class.

Print and staple the book before class (see attached sheets) , polar bear labeling sheet, and polar bear craft sheets (see attached file) You do not need to pay attatention to the colors that the craft is suggesting (white is fine) we will color them.They will need crayons or markers and a hard surface to work on, an extra piece of paper or construction paper, and glue or glue stick.
