Curriculum Scope:
(Class 1, Week 1-2) Gain Attention:
Example Pacing: 8:00 A.M. – 8:10 A.M.
Welcome Students!
Ask a question to start a discussion
Has anyone ever multiplied?
Has anyone ever heard of Algebra?
Inform learners of objectives
Example Pacing: 8:10 A.M.-8:15 A.M.
Tell Learners:
Learners should be able to improve 1 approach to solving a multiplication problem.
Learners should be able to improve 1 approach to solving an Algebraic Expression problem.
Stimulate recall of prior knowledge:
Example Pacing: 8:15 A.M.-8:30 A.M.
Choose either to multiply or do algebra
To achieve learning objective, it is helpful to gather paper, and pencil to make notes of how to approach solving the problem.
Provide 6 question pre-test for learners to solve.
Present the content:
Example Pacing: 8:30 A.M. – 8:45 A.M.
Using a video:
