Welcome to Friendship Haven Online Learning!

Do you have a play dough loving, early learner in your house? This is the perfect class for them! English as a second language (ESL) learners are always welcome to join too. 

Class will begin with introductions so the teacher can learn about each student and engage them easier throughout the lesson. We sincerely enjoy connecting with our students and believe children sense when we are interested and invested in them as people. Learners will follow along with the teacher using play dough to create octopuses, whales, turtles, crabs and dolphins! Students will learn about each marine animal while creating their masterpieces. The teacher will offer positive feedback and engage learners through rhymes, fun facts and student-led discussion. Children do not need to create each play dough marine animal. In our experience, students choose 1-2 favorite marine animals and focus on creating those but continue learning about the other sea creatures throughout the class. 

I will ensure each student gets a chance to speak and ask questions if they wish, as well as respecting anyone who may not feel comfortable doing so. I'm a firm believer that children do learn best when they're able to use their bodies to learn, as well as their minds! Sea creature focus will be customized based on each group's individual interests and needs. For example, some classes prefer to spend more time learning about dolphins and less time learning about turtles. The teacher is prepared to engage many different personalities and abilities.
