Many people want to write a story, but have no idea how to start. By the end of this One-Time class learners will go from nothing to a story outline which they can use to write a story of any length. All they need is: a piece of paper, pen, and any random object. Over the course of the hour learners will be guided through brainstorming steps and will write them down. At the end of class, learners will be given the opportunity to share parts or all of what they came up with if they choose to. Step 1: Object Brainstorm (What is your object? Why is it important) Step 2: Cut and Choose (Take list and narrow it down) Step 3: Create a Character (Who is the owner of the object?) Step 4: Choose a Setting (Where will your story take place?) Step 5: Choose your inspirations (Where else can you get ideas from for your story?) Step 6: Plot (Come up with a general outline which you can use to write a story) #creative

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
I am a former Home School student who has never stopped learning! I love history and telling stories verbally and through writing, and I want to share that passion with others. I believe the statement is true: “Those who don’t learn from History are doomed to repeat it.” We need to learn from the past to shape our own futures and the world in general. I believe the best way to learn about history is to learn about the people who lived through it and what they experienced and tell their stories. I love telling stories through writing and enjoy public speaking, so storytelling is a natural combination of the two.
I have 4 years of teaching experience in a variety of places from teaching/coaching drama and dance for homeschoolers in a group setting, to homeschooling two young children for a few months, to teaching English as Second Language (ESL) to college students, to teaching Arts and Crafts at a Summer Camp. I am currently a ESL teacher online with VIPKid. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Communication from Stevenson University.
I love to travel both in the US and internationally. I’ve spent time in almost every state on the East Coast and driven through the rest. I’ve visited seven different countries and lived in Asia for 17 months.
