I will be asking students to make sure they practice three times a week for 5-10 minutes.Experiencia de clase
This is a beginning, no experience needed, piano class. We will be using the Faber Primer Level book in class for guidance. Topics that we will cover throughout the classes are: the music alphabet, piano posture, hand posture, finger numbers, the quarter note, the half note, the whole note, the grand staff, the treble clef, and the bass clef. We will begin the class with finger exercises and a quick warm-up. We will then begin covering material that is outlined in the syllabus. This practice should include the songs that we covered in class as well as any assigned music theory work. Music theory work may include personal composition, rhythm, note searches, or a Kahoot game. A link will be provided to find a fun piano chart that works for your student, so your student can keep track of their progress. Videos of me playing the songs on the piano (via link to google drive) will also be provided so that the student is able to watch and hear how the song is suppose to be performed on the piano. **The syllabus is subject to change based on the needs of the class**
Metas de aprendizaje
