Experiencia de clase

In this enjoyable piano lesson series, children will find a powerful starting point for learning how to play piano.
We will get a sound foundation for the layout of the keyboard, hand position, learn finger exercises, play chords (both major and minor), and learn to read music (staff, clefs, notes and timing). A great way for kids to learn what the piano is all about and test to see if they would like to continue advancing in piano lessons.
Students will learn to play two songs in a simplified version.
Each week we will continue our learning from the previous week, moving forward to expertise for Level Two
Students will be able to continue their learning up to examination preparation if they wish, or just learn how to play with a band.
The weekly classes build in incremental steps for learning everything necessary to have a solid foundation in music in general and understanding music reading for other instruments.
Techniques and Skills covered:
Keyboard basics
Piano technique, posture, playing
How to create chords
Ensemble: How to play with other musicians and instruments
Reading music notation: Staff, Treble and Bass Clef, Key Signatures, One hand and Two Hand music

Accidentals: Sharps, Flats, Rests and their values

Otros detalles

Requisitos previos
Learners should have the ability to read and write simple words, phrases, or sentences.
Lista de útiles escolares
Students need a piano or digital piano to take lessons. If they have a keyboard to start that will do for the first few months. Piano playing technique requires a different skill than keyboarding but the information in Levels One and Two will be very helpful for keyboarding as well. Also a camera that shows their hands on the keyboard is most important. I should be able to see how their hands are positioned.
