Reading can be fun! We will review reading words with the short /e/ sound by playing BINGO. 1. Upon class enrollment, students will be sent a BINGO card to print and bring to class. 2. During class, I will pull words from a box. We will read and spell the words together and learners can read independently if they are able. Students will mark their cards accordingly. 3.We will play as many games as time permits. 4. At the end of class, we will review all the words we read together if time permits.
Metas de aprendizaje
Students will practice their phonics and letter blending skills by looking for the words on their card. This will also exercise their listening skills. This session is for emerging readers or readers who would like to review reading words with short vowel sounds.

Please print the BINGO sheet prior to the class meeting. Please bring something to mark each square such as pennies, beans, small candy (Skittles, M&Ms, etc). They will need approximately 25 markers.

Hi there. My name is Frances and I love teaching on Outschool. I offer classes in phonemic awareness, phonics, reading comprehension, creative writing and math.
I have a Bachelor's in Journalism from California State University Northridge. I am an elementary school substitute teacher and classroom instructional assistant where I do reading and math intervention one on one and with small groups and lead Listening and Speaking activities. For several years, I also taught English online to children in China.
The online classroom is a fun way to interact with others and expand our minds. In my classroom, we will work together to learn new things and practice skills when "we aren't just there yet" until we are masters! What a wonderful time we live in that we can connect and learn together from anywhere in the world.
