This is a 3-Day Course. Students will meet 3 times in a week to complete Part 1. Building on the foundational skills from Part 1 & 2, this 3-day class will focus on the dynamic aspects of sketching people in motion and integrating them into vibrant scenes effectively. Students will learn how to capture the essence of movement, understand the interaction between figures and their environments, and create cohesive and engaging compositions. Week 1Lesson 1Day 1: Capturing Movement• Understanding the basics of human anatomy in motion. • Techniques for drawing fluid, dynamic poses. • Using gesture drawing to quickly capture the essence of movement.Lesson 2Day 2: Interaction with Environment• Techniques for integrating figures into various environments. • Understanding perspective and spatial relationships between figures and their surroundings. • Composing scenes with multiple figures and background elements.Lesson 3Day 3: Storytelling through Scene Integration• Creating narratives through scenes with multiple figures. • Using body language and positioning to convey relationships and emotions. • Developing a focal point and guiding the viewer's eye through the composition.

Teacher Ang is a professional artist and 3D Modeler. She earned her BFA in Animation from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Aside from working as a Freelance Gameplay Animator and 3D Artist, she loves encouraging her students’ curiosity and helping them develop a passion for art. She strives to teach students skills that can bring their voices and ideas to reality. She believes that by building a foundational skill set, her students will be able to approach their artworks with new perspectives.
