In this class, I will be teaching students what patterns are and how to create them. Students will learn how to make AB, ABC, and ABBC patterns and then they will practice making their own patterns using pasta noodles!
I will integrate a mix of technology using Google slides and hands-on practice to teach this class. 

**I am very passionate about sensory play so I always include a corresponding sensory bin for extending the skills learned in the classes I teach. In this sensory bin, you'll receive a 6 qt. bin with a lid for easy storage, a variety of pasta noodles for making patterns, a wooden scoop, and bowl.

Hey there!

My name is Ashley Wood! I am a wife, mama of two, and certified Primary (early childhood-kinder) Montessori teacher in Texas! I have been teaching for 8 years, 2 years teaching traditional 2nd grade and 6 years teaching Primary Montessori.
I've been incorporating sensory bins into my classroom for years. There is so much learning that takes place when children are engaged in the activities that are put before them. I was so inspired by my students at school that I decided to create and sell sensory bins that kids from all over the community could have the opportunity to interact with.

I've also taught Sunday school at our church for over 12 years and volunteered with our church's youth group for 8 years.

I'm excited to offer classes teaching foundational skills and sensory play!

I have a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Dallas Baptist University. I am certified to teach Early Childhood through 6th grade, I am ESL certified and have my Montessori certification for the Primary grade level. 

I am passionate about Montessori education. I believe the Montessori method of teaching empowers children to become independent thinkers and gives them a firm foundation of skills to build on. I will work with learners as young as 3 and as old as 6 in my courses. I have experience teaching SEL (social-emotional lessons), math, art, practical life skills, sensorial lessons, science/cultural lessons, language, reading, and writing lessons.
