Únase a nuestra clase semanal de redacción de párrafos donde los estudiantes responden a indicaciones creativas diseñadas para despertar la imaginación y mejorar las habilidades de escritura. Los estudiantes redactarán 3 párrafos bien estructurados centrándose en una expresión clara y detalles vívidos.

 Week 1
Lesson 1
Informational/Descriptive Writing
In Week 1 students learn to identify and write a descriptive paragraph. The writing process has four components: brainstorming, writing, editing and writing the final draft. Students are encouraged to use vivid adjectives, precise nouns, and varied sentence structures to paint clear and engaging pictures with their words. They should be able to describe scenes and events in a way that readers can easily visualize. Practicing detailed descriptions is a foundation for all future writing.
 Week 2
Lesson 2
Persuasive/Argumentative Writing
Persuasive writing is another critical focus challenging students to craft compelling arguments supported by logical reasoning and relevant evidence. They should consider their audience and appeal to emotions, presenting strong facts to convince others of their position. This assignment helps enhance critical thinking and learning to evaluate different perspectives.
 Week 3
Lesson 3
Narrative Writing
Narrative writing skills are also a central learning goal for. They practice creating structured stories with clear beginnings, middles, and ends, integrating elements such as character development, plot twists, and rich settings. Through narrative writing, students explore their creativity and imagination while learning to organize their thoughts coherently. Students are expected to write compelling stories that captivate readers and convey meaningful messages throughout their education.

  • Practice of the kind of skills that will be used in effective communication.
  • Improve writing skills, especially in structure and organization, grammar and punctuation, clarity and conciseness.
  • Enhance idea development, creativity and self-expression.
  • Boost reading comprehension through engaging with the text.

Detalles: The assessment will be feedback by the instructor on the 3 edited paragraphs as well as self-grading according the the provided rubric.
Students should have a spiral notebook to write and edit their paragraphs. I prefer writing to typing online in Google or Word. Students should be able to send the final draft to me by email for sharing
