This 25-minute class gathers weekly to allow students to learn from me: a real-life, enthusiastic and excited, animal scientist! After working in a zoo and in the veterinary industry the past 20 years, I'm excited to share what I've learned. Slides are shared from my screen during class to provide real visuals for students. At the end of every class time students should be able to tell a parent or friend:
- The name of the animal we discussed
- List the habitats for today's species
- Describe some animal adaptations of the animal we learned that day
- New vocabulary related to the species.
- OPTIONAL: some students may have a colored sheet after class

I have a degree in Animal Science from the North Carolina State University where I minored in Agriculture Business Management and Equine Physiology with a focus on Anatomy and Physiology. After multiple biology courses and zoology, I studied research throughout my college career and worked for many veterinarians over the course of 10 years, including an exotic veterinarian that travels the world.
