Perfil
Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
I recently retired after teaching for 25 years in elementary public schools. Through those teaching years, I taught all subject areas in grades 2nd-6th. I was one of two teachers who designed and taught a new elementary S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) curriculum in several schools. My other experiences include being a reading intervention specialist and working with various academic student teams, including Math Club, Lego Robotics, Destination Imagination, and Chess Club. I've been certified professionally through the Alabama Reading Initiative and Alabama Math, Science, & Technology Initiative. I also have 4 years of experience teaching ESL classes to students in China. I have many professional interests that I love to share with my students. My goal in teaching is always to find unique ways to ignite students’ interest and help them become lifelong learners. My current certifications include a highly qualified teaching certificate in Alabama, a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality from Oklahoma State University, and a Master of Science in Elementary Education from Troy State University. Please let me know if you have any questions or schedule requests, and I will be glad to contact you!!
