The natural world is a beautiful thing! In this once-a-week Waldorf-inspired nature club class we will cultivate and nurture a love and excitement for some of the wonderful things we find in Mother Nature.

BRIEF OVERVIEW

Each class will focus on a different theme.

We will have lots of fun exploring each theme through the following activities:

1. Welcome, lighting of candle and verse
2. "Did you know..." introduction of the theme and some interesting and exciting facts
3. What, Where, How questions: stimulating curiosity, analytical skills, and independent thinking through a question-and-answer approach.
4. Storytelling and songs
5. Drawing a picture for the theme
6. Sharing of drawing
7. Goodbyes

At the beginning of each week, your child will be sent a beautiful nature activity journal PDF made by us!

The way this class is formatted means they do not build on each other and no prior knowledge from previous weeks is required. Learners may join at any time.

WHAT TO EXPECT

In this class, you can expect both a traditional and contemporary Waldorf approach, with opening verses and a 'hello' song. There will be gentle storytelling and art and a warm, loving environment provided by the teacher. 

There will be lots of sharing and creativity! We cultivate and encourage an interactive classroom and love for children to share their observations and ideas respectfully.

INCLUSIVITY

This is an inclusive class, meaning students of all abilities are welcome. If a student is unable to communicate verbally they are welcome to use the chat. If your student has any other needs that require accommodations please let me know and we will work together to make sure your student gets the best class experience possible.
