This musical theater conservatory experience is intended for those students who are serious about refining their skills as a musical theater performing artist. This course is only available to those select students I invite and is highly competitive. You must complete Semester 1 as a prerequisite and be invited to enroll in Semester 2 to be eligible. I keep these courses private from the general public on Outschool, so that I can maintain a high quality class environment for those who are at a higher level in their training. Through this conservatory, I am replicating a high quality, in person Performing Arts Academy experience, while making it lower cost and virtually accessible to a wider audience. I endeavor to create a highly encouraging learning environment and uphold certain behavioral standards of focus and respect in the virtual classroom. This is meant to protect and heighten the class quality and experience for all the students involved. I believe in positive constructive criticism and continual peer observation/support. The syllabus is as follows: Week 1 Day 1: Broadway Choreography Dance Class - Spotlight on Bob Fosse: “All that Jazz” from Chicago Day 2: Voice Technique for the Actor (Non-Singing) Week 2 Day 1: Acting Technique: Spotlight on Meisner Day 2: Broadway Choreography Dance Class - Part 2 of “All that Jazz” Week 3 Day 1: Group Voice Lesson and Technique Check in Day 2: Audition Preparation - Lecture and Q&A Week 4 Day 1: Broadway Choreography Dance Class - Spotlight on Michael Bennett: Part 1 of “One” from A Chorus Line Day 2: Acting Technique: Spotlight on Stanislavsky Week 5 Day 1: Musical Theatre Mock Audition Day - Half of the class will workshop their audition material with me/ Others will observe Day 2: Musical Theatre Mock Audition Day - Second half of the class will workshop their audition material with me/ Others will observe Week 6 Day 1: Broadway Choreography Dance Class - Part 2 of “One” from A Chorus Line Day 2: Acting Technique: Spotlight on Method Week 7 Day 1: Group Voice Lesson Day 2: Broadway Choreography Dance Class - Part 3 of “One” from A Chorus Line Week 8 Day 1: Improvisational Acting Day! Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Licenciatura en Música o Teatro o Artes desde University of Florida
I have 15 years of professional experience as a stage performer. I have performed all over the country and on Broadway.
I attained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from the University of Florida. This program provided intensive dance training which has prepared me in leading a safe dance environment.
I also received my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification from One Yoga in Kho Pha-ngan, Thailand. Yoga has always been a huge benefit to me as a performer, which is why I choose to incorporate it as a physical warm up.
