Experiencia de clase

In this one-time 45 minute class, students will learn everything they need to know about multiplying fractions and mixed numbers. Students will participate in guided practice and independent practice of each skill. Students will also practice simplifying fractions into lowest terms. When presented with a mixed number multiplied by a mixed number, students will be taught how to convert into an improper fraction before multiplying. After taking this class, students will feel confident in their ability to multiply fractions.

Students will be able to multiply mixed numbers. 
Students will be able to convert mixed numbers into improper fractions and improper fractions to mixed numbers.

Hi There! My name is Kristen Mingione. I am a 5th grade teacher in Westchester, NY. I graduated from Syracuse University with a BS in Elementary and Special Education and from SUNY Cortland with a MS in Literacy Education. I have seven years of teaching experience and my favorite part of teaching is getting to know my students and helping them to succeed in the classroom. I enjoy making learning fun through math games and book clubs with popular literature. I'm excited to get to know your children!
