Students will learn and practice multiplication by 9. We will begin by practicing skip counting by 9. We will also spend time looking at some patterns specific to nines, including patterns related to multiples of 9 and tricks for solving nines problems with fingers. We will then work on some different strategies for solving multiplication questions. Some of the strategies we will talk about are pictures with groupings, tape diagrams, and number bonds. We will end the session by playing some dice games to help students practice nines times tables.

Hello! So glad you are here! I am excited to be teaching on Outschool. I have taught elementary school for four years, with 1.5 of those years being online. I am currently teaching 6th grade science. I love teaching multiplication, division, fractions, phonics, science, and more! I love connecting with my students and helping them learn. It is very rewarding to see my students progress and grow. I believe that every child has potential, and I love helping them realize their potential.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from BYU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in TESOL K-12 (Teaching English to Students of Other Languages). I also finished my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through Western Governor’s University.
I love running, waterskiing, and my dog, Daisy! I also love music and play the piano and the violin.
