In this one-time class, students will be able to practice their Spanish vocabulary in order to review and refresh or learn new words through the framework of a Minecraft themed multiple choice online game at Kahoot.com (no membership, no fees, no account required). Vocabulary related to: -Size and Quantity -Distance -Shape -Color -Emotion -Animals -Action Verbs Because we will all be participating in this game and the teacher will be dictating the lesson, there will be plenty of time for us to ask questions, elaborate and have brief discussions about our favorite aspects of Minecraft! I love seeing students have fun learning in a competitive, but fun environment where they are challenged to push their limits and engage with material they truly care about!

Students will learn to effectively use new or familiar Spanish vocabulary related to size, quantity, distance, shape, color, emotion, animals and action verbs in order to communicate and express themselves while discussing the common topic of Minecraft!

In this class we will be using an online educational gaming website called Kahoot.com. It is an approved third-party tool that will require no account, no membership and no fees. Each student will need a 2nd device (cell phone or tablet works great) in order to view the game questions and participate in answering questions during our zoom class while I share the screen with the questions and leaderboards!

2nd device- tablet or cellphone works great- in order to log into Kahoot.com and play our private group game for FREE (no membership required) while using main device for the classroom I see this class as an opportunity to expose easy Spanish vocabulary to beginner and elementary Spanish learners who want to practice and play while we read and talk all about our favorite Minecraft characters!
