Consistency and routine play a huge part in the ongoing development of a child's understanding and mastery of the arts. While no homework or assignments will be given, parents will be given access to materials and pre-recorded videos that allow children to continue practicing music learned in each class session. Simply allowing students to participate in weekly classes consistently will guarantee they meet and exceed the targeted learning goals.Certificado de finalización

- Preschool - Kindergarten students will be engaged for a full 30-minute session of music and movement, instrument play and learning to sight sing! - This enriching preschool music curriculum is designed to introduce young learners to the basic fundamentals of music, while encouraging them to learn and grow academically. - Each class will feature a "circle time" in which young learners will engage in fun, learning songs that encourage early literacy and math skills. - Our class structure will allow young learners to interact musically with the teacher and one another as we learn and share instrument play, and music & movement activities. - My teaching approach is very interactive, as I demonstrate and teach each song, then encourage students to follow and participate. I use a variety of different instruments, an interactive board, featuring seasonal themes, as well as puppetry and simple choreography to teach music in a fun and easy way for children to understand. - Students will be encouraged to interact in each session by participating in sing-along songs, music and movement activities, and will have a chance to play and instrument or sing a song solo during certain games or lessons. Each Month We will Feature a Different Theme, and focus more on specific Topics. Because our class is recurring, we will revisit each topic with a different monthly theme. Lessons are planned out in advance so that you can see the topics and themes for the next 3 months of Classes. ⇢ Month of December: Shapes and Colors/"Christmas Around the World" ⇢ Month of January: Letters and Numbers/"Snowflakes and Castles" ⇢ Month of February: Time and Seasons/"Community Helpers"

Students will be encouraged to create a digital music binder. I will provide a printable handout after each class session which details what we learn in each class. I encourage parents to subscribe to my YouTube channel where they can watch prerecorded music classes featuring the songs and activities in my weekly classes. Although the content in the videos is limited, it allows students to continue practicing and learning in between classes. The following resources are suggested but not required: - Adobe Acrobat Reader - Playback Device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) - Instruments (drum sticks, shakers, tambourine, etc.) - Binder (to store printable handouts and learning pages provided following each class)
