In this first semester course we will cover a variety of literary, poetry and nonfiction elements. The second semester we will focus on nonfiction , argumentative and persuasive element standards. Both semesters will include paired stories to compare and contrast elements among genres. During our lessons students will get a chance to read, write and understand the different type of texts. My name is Carlos Acosta, and I am a certified teacher with credentials in Elementary EC-6 , Core Content areas EC-8, Social Studies 8-12, and Spanish K-12.
