Experiencia de clase

Young artists will learn to paint a moonlight beach scene.  The students will also learn about the composition of their painting and the blending of colors.  They will be introduced to the term monochromatic paintings while adding color later in the painting if wanted.  Encouraging students to use their imagination, to follow instruction of technique, and by having fun will help the young artists to become more confident and have a sense of pride in their work.  The students are always able to contact me through Outschool in between class meetings for any help that they need.

Students will need to have the following supplies on hand:  Acrylic or tempura paints including white, black, and blue.  As well, the students can add additional colors such as green, red, or any colors they would like to chose.  Canvas or canvas board (paper is ok as long as it is a thicker stock like water color paper).  Small, medium, and large paint brushes.  A pencil with an eraser.  A black marker.

I teach art classes including:  Painting with acrylics and oils; Drawing with pencil, charcoals, and oil and chalk pastels; Clay sculpture; Photography.

I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Studio Art from Florida State University.  I currently work as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician and a Group Leader for an after school program.  

I love to teach kiddos art and feel it important to nurture artistic expression to aid in a child's intellectual and personal growth.  It is truly a joy to watch children have fun, learn, and create all by learning art.  

My wonderful kiddo is 14 and just started High School this year though it has been a different year for sure for him and every child this year.  My son and I have a funny, beautiful, fun, kind black lab named, Daisy.  We are blessed.
