Step right up to "Mini Masterpieces," an online art voyage where dreams and reality blend into a wonderful whirl of colors, shapes, and stories! This course dives into the mystifying and exhilarating world of surrealism. Does your child love to daydream, tell imaginative stories, or find the extraordinary in the everyday? Mini Masterpieces: A Surrealism Art Exploration for Kids! is an inviting and fun space to shape their visions into stunning works of art, using surrealism's fantastic approach. Every week, we will transform our ideas into reality through a new exciting project, encouraging artistic skills, creative thinking, and a fascination for the surreal. Weekly Project Breakdown: - Week 1: Dreamy Landscapes - We will create landscapes inspired by our dreams using mixed media. - Week 2: Magical Creatures- Let's design our own surreal creatures using collage techniques. - Week 3: Floating Worlds- Using watercolors, we'll paint scenes where the ordinary laws of gravity don't apply! - Week 4: Portraits with a Twist- We'll create self-portraits, but with surreal elements that express our unique personalities. - Week 5: Shadow Art - This week, we'll use objects and their shadows to create unexpected surreal scenes. - Week 6: Surreal Still Life- We'll create still life paintings with a surrealistic twist. - Week 7: Myths and Legends - Using stories of myths and legends, we'll create surreal scenes that blend reality and fantasy. - Week 8: Invisible Cities- Inspired by Italo Calvino's book, we'll design our own surreal cities. Each session introduces a new project and creative challenge. We will take inspiration from famous surrealists, like Salvador Dalí and René Magritte, but also from our dreams, stories, and limitless imaginations. Get ready to stretch your creative muscles, express your uniqueness, and dive into a world where anything is possible. Let's journey together into the exciting world of surrealism in "Magic and Masterpieces"! (Note: A list of materials for each project will be provided one week in advance. Most items are common household or craft supplies.)
