Hello, students!
Are you ready to have a great time designing creative writing in class? In this class, we will practice our sentence and story writing skills by writing about a new topic each week! So, if you're looking for an entertaining way to keep busy after school, then this is the class for you! You can choose to come to each writing week or pick your favorite week to enroll. That's the beauty of Outschool!

Every week we will find inspiration to write using the following topics:

Week of February 14- Neil Armstrong was the first astronaut to walk on the moon. Amelia Earhart was the first female pilot to fly. Thomas Edison was the first person to invent the lightbulb. Let's talk about what you want to be the first person to do? Swim the entire ocean? Be the first person to invent infinite food? Whatever it is let's write about it!

Week of October 10- There are so many places in the world to discover. Which place has been your favorite place to go? If you could choose any place to visit, where would you go and why? Would it be somewhere close to your house? Maybe it would be super far away? Or maybe not even on this planet? Let's write about why you choose this place and how you will get there!

Week of October 17- Happy Birthday!! -- Oh wait, this isn't your birthday? No worries! We are using our imaginations in this class, and we can pretend it is! Let's make a wish and blow out the candles. What would you wish for? What would you wish for if you could wish for anything just once, and it would come true? A million dollars? A homework writing robot? You can talk to animals? Whatever it is, let's write about it!

Week of October 24- Speaking of birthdays, let's continue last week's lesson and expand more on our creative thinking. Let's pretend it is your birthday and you're turning at ANY age you want. It can be younger than you are now, or it can be older than you. Which age would you choose and why? What would you do this year? Let's brainstorm and write about it!

Week of October 31- During the year, there are many different holidays for everyone. Every person celebrates in their own special way and has their own holiday. What is your favorite holiday? What if you could create a brand new holiday? What would that holiday be called, and why would we celebrate it? What can we do on that day to celebrate it too? Will there be food? Games? Fireworks? Or will everyone just take a nap? Whatever the case may be, let's write about it!

Week of November 7- We will take creative writing day with a twist! Today, you will pretend to be the teacher and use your creativity to come up with any class you would like to teach. How would you teach this class? What would your school look like? Would the subject be traditional like; math and reading? Or would it be about video games or how to fly? Let's use our imaginations and write!

Week of November 14- Let's talk about your favorite superheroes, cartoons, your favorite movies, or shows! What do you like to watch the most? What if you could spend a week inside one of your favorite shows, movies, or games? What would you do? What would you look like? And what would your first conversation be like with the first character you saw? We can put down all of our ideas inside our creative papers and write about them!

Week of November 21- Do you like animals or mystical creatures? Do you have your own pet, or have you ever imagined owning a pet? This week, we will pretend that we have a pet (any pet in the world or an imaginary pet) but this pet will have a special power. What power would this pet have? Can it talk? Can it fly? Can it have the ability to create cheeseburgers? Whatever the power is, what will a day in the life of you and this magical pet look like? Let's write about it!
	

**Note- this class is all about freewriting! We will focus on the student's imagination and how they will add details and creativity in class rather than focus on grammatical errors or structure. This class is all about making writing fun!
