Students will learn to read and write critically while learning history through historical fiction. Students will read the books- Fever 1793 and Wednesday Wars. In each class, students will be immersed in the time period whether it's Philadelphia in a new America or the late 1960s on Long Island in New York. In each class, students will watch a video related to the topic of the book, reading comprehension or writing skills. They will then review the book through conversation, comprehension questions and vocabulary study. The students will get a lot of feedback on their writing from me.
