Welcome to "Math Wiz Kids: Mastering Multiplication for 3rd Graders!" In this 6 week course, offered twice a week, we'll come together for FUN to learn the  FUNDAMENTALS of multiplication. 

🌟 What to Expect:
In each session, we'll focus on mastering multiplication concepts using a multi-faceted approach. Students will explore the foundational aspects of multiplication through arrays, repeated addition, set representations, and easy to remember skip counting songs.

Week 1: What is Multiplication?  
This week, students will learn the concept of multiplication, practice skip counting and repeated addition, and use a drawing to create a multiplication equation.  (0s & 1s & 11s Times Tables)

Week 2: Multiplication Masters
This week, students will explain the concept of multiplication and begin to practice writing and solving multiplication equations using pictures.   (2s & 5s & 10 Times Tables)

Week 3: Let's Solve Equations 
In this week, students will continue practice solving and representing multiplication equations in a variety of ways including pictures and arrays.  (3s & 4s Times Tables)
 
Week 4: Solving Simple Multiplication Word Problems
In this week, students will engage in an interactive activity using multiplication to solve real-life problems.  (6s & 7s Times Tables)

Week 5: Intro to Division
In this week, students will learn the foundations of division and its relationship to multiplication including fact families and visual to represent a division problem.  (9s & 12s Times Tables)

Week 6: Review and Extend
In this week, students will demonstrate their mastery of learned skills by completing an engaging, personal project applying the concepts of multiplication. 

🎮 Engaging Activities:
Every class will incorporate a variety of engaging activities to solidify understanding and make learning enjoyable. We will use multi-sensory strategies, visual aids, easy to create manipulative, and online games to keep your learner engaged throughout each class. 

🧠 Learning Structure:
Each lesson will follow a structured format, including opportunities for independent practice to cement newly acquired skills. Additionally, we'll dedicate time to learning and practicing chants/songs, as mnemonics can greatly aid in memorizing multiplication facts.

🚀 Outcome:
By the end of the course, your child will possess a strong foundation in multiplication. They'll not only understand the core concepts but also have memorized essential multiplication facts. This will set them on a confident path toward excelling in mathematics.
