Come and join our one-on-one math class, specially designed for young students who want to improve their math skills! We offer an engaging learning experience to help students review the common core math standards at their grade level and excel in math. Whether your child needs a little extra help or wants to build a strong math foundation, our class is the perfect fit.

Our class is tailored for preschool to second-grade students. We utilize engaging videos that we have created and sourced from YouTube as part of our subscription. The best part is that your child won't require a YouTube video subscription for this class! All the videos, PowerPoint slides, and additional materials will be shared on the screen with the students.

During the class, your child can create fun crafts using scissors, glue, and paper. These crafts will help demonstrate how math skills are applied in real-life situations, making it a fun and enjoyable experience.

Our class aims to assist students in preschool through second grade with foundational skills, enrichment, and test-taking skills. We will begin by assessing their current skill level and identifying areas needing improvement. Following that, we will concentrate on addressing any missing common core standards, such as number sense, patterns, shapes, and measurement. By the end of the class, your child will have enhanced their math skills and be better prepared for future academic challenges.

Each class will start with a review of the previous lesson, followed by an introduction to the day's lesson. The aim will be to teach a new skill through modeling and independent practice, and we will conclude with a quick assessment of the lesson's skill.

We will use PowerPoint and YouTube videos to cover subjects like social studies, math, science, and history. All materials, including PowerPoint lessons and YouTube videos, will be shared on the screen with the students during class. Each student will need a folder that I will provide to keep track of their lesson materials.

The class will be 40 minutes long, beginning with a 5-minute introduction, followed by 20 minutes of practice, a 20-minute mini-lesson, 10 minutes of independent practice, and ending with a review of the skills taught.

MATERIALS/LESSONS:
The lesson is designed on a PowerPoint. The PowerPoint is screen-shared during the lesson. Also, any YouTube videos are screen-shared with the class. The learners do not need to have a subscription to any websites used in class.
Physical materials
Notebook, pencil, download materials as necessary for each class,

PARTICIPATION
In my classes, I promote interactive learning and encourage movement by allowing ample space for learners to move around. I enjoy involving every learner in the discussions by asking their opinions and questions related to the subject matter. My ultimate goal is to ensure every learner has a fun and enjoyable learning experience.

MUTING:
I do my best to encourage participation from learners enrolled in my classes. I prefer to leave learners unmuted, but as a parent myself, I understand that there are instances where learners need to be muted due to background noise that cannot be prevented. Parents, please feel free to mute your learners at your discretion.

There may be times when I have to use the mute feature. If there is any background noise that could distract other students in the class, I will inform the students that they will be muted to reduce the noise.

RECORDINGS:
Each student will be asked to visually mark their attendance at the beginning of each class. They can turn off their camera afterward except to show their work. Some students can be visual, except through Outschool Safety and Security. Recordings are not automatically shown in the classroom. I like to create a safe, open space for students to be themselves and want them to be as interactive as possible. The recordings are automatically created and attached to my class. If you have trouble accessing them, please let me know and I will help you.

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Texas Certificado de Docencia en Educación elemental
Maestría en Educación desde University of Phoenix
I am a licensed elementary school teacher in the state of Texas. I have a master's in Curriculum and Ed.S in Educational Technology. I have lived and worked as a teacher in Virginia, Louisiana, Texas, Minnesota, and Colorado. In each state, I was a licensed/certified elementary/middle school teacher. In addition to working with elementary and middle school teachers, I have worked for several years as a special education teacher and online ESL and private teacher. In public schools, I specialized as a teacher by working with students who had severe physical, mental, and cognitive issues. Also, I worked with students who had severe Autism and who were also diagnosed with High Functional Asperger’s. Currently, I work online as an English Language teacher, writer, and teacher trainer. My two favorite historical figures are Abraham Lincoln and Malcolm X because each person never allowed failure to stop them from their eventual success as a person. My passion is to work with students in small groups and individuals who require scaffolding instruction to be successful. In addition, I love to teach a variety of courses and have a variety of interests that I want to share with my students. I love to teach project-based courses that incorporate reading, writing, math, and technology skills in relation to history and cultural awareness. In addition to working as a specialized teacher, I have been an elementary, middle school, and 9-10th grade teacher. In elementary I taught all of the subjects and worked primarily in grades Preschool, grades 3-6 where I taught Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. In middle school and high school, I worked as a social studies teacher.
I love learning! I am in graduate school and attend many workshops. I have completed my Educational Specialist degree in Educational technology, my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, my Bachelor of Arts in Specials Education, and my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I also have an Associate degree in Early Childhood and a TESOL in English as a Second Language. I attend many workshops and have received my certifications as a Language teacher (Phonics, English as a Second Language, Language-based Disabilities).
In addition to working for Outschool, I have a business “Michelle’s Innovations” and provide services as an
•	an ESL teacher and am contracted with several Asian companies as either a small group or one on one teacher
• training for other teachers via webinars and in-person workshops.
•	adjunct professor for an online community college, Aimslee Institute
•	The Dragon’s Liar, a Teacher Pay Teacher’s online education store
•	Customized lessons/tutoring for students who are homeschooled,
•	Professional Learning for education professionals and proofreader for writers
As a public school teacher, I received training in multi subjects, including science, writing, reading, math, and geography. As a result, I also taught children from PreK- to 8th grade in the above subjects. My certifications have included these areas, as well as a resource, teaching, and ESL. My favorite subjects have always been science, reading, writing, and geography, so I have been fortunate in that I have been able to teach these subjects to students who are extremely interested in these areas. As an elementary teacher, I taught multiple subjects including science and math. I taught life cycles many times during my time as a Preschool, 3rd to the 6th-grade teacher.

My husband is a retired Navy person and we have lived in many different parts of the United States of America. In addition, my own family has lived in Europe where my Dad worked as a teacher. I love to share and believe that we are a global community that needs to live together.
