The ACT is used to assess student readiness for post-secondary education and workplace success. It can certainly be a stressful and intimidating test, but it does not have to be! This FLEX course is developed to help understand the MATH portion of the ACT test.

When taking the ACT, the goal is to get as many problems correct as you possibly can. The lovely thing about the test is that it’s structured in a very particular way, and if you understand just a few of these intricacies, you give yourself a better chance at scoring well. Through my 15 years of classroom experience along with my training as an ACT Certified Educator, I will teach you how to become familiar with the test so that you have a wide range of strategies to tackle all of the types of problems you may see.

“THE PROBLEM MAY CHANGE, BUT THE CONCEPT STAYS THE SAME!”

This course includes 12 videos that will walk through the basics of the test, strategies to help with answering questions, and example problems covering each of the concepts you will encounter.

~All videos will be posted by 8:00pm MST on Sundays~

My goal is to translate the often misunderstood subject of mathematics through visuals and different but proven methods that I have gained over my 15 years of experience as a high school teacher. These concepts will range from 7th and 8th grade math all of the way to Pre-Calculus and Trigonometry. I am a licensed Middle and High School teacher, have my Masters in Education, and have taught a plethora of classes in my 15 years of teaching (Math 7, Math 8, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Applied Math, General Math, Business Math, Pre-Calculus w/ Trig, College Algebra). I believe that everyone is born with the ability to master mathematics, it is just somewhere along the path, there has been a mental road block that has slowed down this trajectory. That is why I teach! To find and fix your thought process and get you back to feeling confident and proud of your inner math talent. The best aspect of this journey is that I will be doing all of my lessons traveling around the country in a RV, chasing down my own path and dream. I cannot wait for you to learn where I will be next (and maybe some math will be discussed :))
